Steve Parker
Steve Parker is the Executive Director of NWCyber and President of EnergySec, a non-profit supporting cybersecurity efforts in the electric sector. Steve has over 25 years of cybersecurity experience in critical infrastructure including telecommunications, finance, and energy. He has worked in multiple security disciplines and has regulatory experience as a security auditor in the electric sector. He is a frequent speaker at industry events and is a lead instructor and curriculum developer for EnergySec’s professional education offerings. As a strong advocate for proactive approaches to building the cybersecurity workforce, he has supported various programs related to cybersecurity education, internships, and apprenticeships.
Twila Denham
Twila Denham is the Managing Director of NWCyber, with nearly 30 years of experience as an educator and administrator. Before joining EnergySec in 2015, where she continues to lead workforce development programs, Twila served as Principal and Administrator of a K-12 private school. She holds a B.A. in Education and Biblical Studies. Over the past 9+ years, Twila has been instrumental in shaping the efforts that are now the mission and purpose of NWCyber. She oversees the grant application process and leads our initiatives to build cybersecurity career pathways, strengthening the workforce in Oregon and SW Washington.
Kalika Black
Kalika Black is the Program Manager for NWCyber, bringing over 4 years of project management experience and more than 8 years in quality improvement and administrative support. She excels in streamlining workflows and optimizing processes. At NWCyber, Kalika leads the development and expansion of programs, manages partnerships with educational institutions and industry organizations, and supports the grant application process by tracking project milestones. She also drives the organization’s marketing efforts, overseeing social media communications, marketing materials, and event outreach to connect individuals with pathways to successful cybersecurity careers. Her leadership ensures the successful execution of strategic initiatives and long-term program growth.
Kristen Bresler
Kristen Bresler is the Event Manager for NW Cyber, ensuring the seamless execution of events and expos. She manages every aspect of event logistics, from securing venues and negotiating contracts to overseeing hotel accommodations, menu selections, and AV setup. With her expert planning and organizational skills, she ensures that each event meets its goals, providing attendees and sponsors with a smooth, engaging experience. Her attention to detail and ability to anticipate event needs make her a key contributor to NW Cyber’s successful outreach.
